FBF Country Director Dr Bernard Kocholla addressing Wiga beneficiaries on animal feeds and animal health intervention during the Animal feeds launching in Migori County. This is a FAO funded project under drought mitigation response on livelihoods and food security. A total number of 1,000 beneficiaries in Migori are benefiting from the livestock intervention and 15,000 animals will receive vaccination, treatment, deworming among other animal health services. The livestock include cattle, sheep, goats and camel 🐫 / donkeys. Training on good animal husbandry was done in the morning session by the sub-county Agriculture officer to sensitize the beneficiaries on how to care for their livestock.
